Thank you for logging on to the Romney Marsh FM website.
Romney Marsh FM is once again back on 87.8 FM and it really is great to be back on the air.
It all started again with David Wimble's breakfast show on Monday 9th November and will continue on FM until Sunday 6th December. So you've got 4 weeks of truly local radio!
As you are probably aware RMFM has previously run 3 very successful Restricted Service Licence FM broadcasts: January and June 2009 and July 2008.
Even when not on FM RMFM broadcasts 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on the internet. Click on the media buttons at the top to listen!
The station is run on a completely voluntary basis and we are always looking for new helpers, so if you fancy yourself as a presenter or you think you would like to get involved with our local news team or maybe you would like to just help out with advertising and the production of commercials and pre recorded features, please feel free to give the station a call on 01797 362000.
Romney Marsh FM is also looking for someone to help us obtain funding and grants, If you have any experience in this field we would welcome your help and support. The station has been set up as a CIC Ltd. Company (community Interest Company) which means that we are run almost like a charity on a not for profit basis. However running our FM transmissions is a very expensive business with over £4000 needed for each 28 day period just to cover the Broadcast licence and Performance licensing. With this in mind RMFM is looking for sponsorship from local businesses. If you are in the position to help please contact the station.
The RMFM website is here for the local community. If you would like to advertise anything or publish other local interest stories just call the station and we will add your content to our website
